Dave Pearson Receives The Roy Cripps Trophy

Roy who passed away last year was President of Rothwell Juniors and one of the founder members, when the club was formed in 1976.
The Trophy will be presented to the Club Person of the year annually

The AGM took place on the 8th June. Detail of the meeting will follow.
Girls In The Final
The Under 12 girls did Rothwell Juniors proud with a fantastic footballing performance in the final at Pontefract. Losing 3-2 was no shame and Rothwell played the better football for long periods. Thanks to all for their support.

Rothwell Juniors are proud to announce their 2008 Summer Football Gala. This will take place on 12th& 13th of July. The event will cater for the Boys sections. As well as a great day of football there will be many other attractions to make your day an enjoyable one.

Police Get Tough
The police have officially warned the club regarding spectators parking on the verges at the Rodillian School Pitches. £30 fixed penalty notices have been handed out and this will carry on. Please be warned that whatever action the police take, the club will not be responsible for paying fines etc.
It is up to all of us to comply with Police requests and park in the School Car Park.

Congratulations to the Under 10 Boys who not only have secured the league championship, but also booked their place in the final of the cup, with an impressive 8 - 0 win.
The final is to be held at the Barnsley Academy Centre. Good luck in the final.

Sportsman's Dinner a Success
The RJFC event organised by Phil Greaves and Steve Thorpe raised over a £1000. Many thanks to all who supported this and made it a success.
